In another very sad case, a 13 year Brooklyn boy was killed as he rode a bike back from a family party. As he crossed the street, an SUV went around a slower moving car and stuck and killed the boy. The driver of the SUV did not stop and police are now trying to locate him.

Drivers have to be ever vigilant to make sure they are aware of pedestrians or bike riders. There are over 40,000 deaths from auto accidents a year and the time has come for all of us to seriously work to lower that number. We all have to be more careful to avoid these tragic events.
