As the summer winds to an end, another tragic end to a young life. This time, a one vehicle crash took the life a a 17 year old Shelby County, TN teen. The 1997 Ford Ranger pick-up truck rounded a curve and flipped over. What makes this case sadder than most is that there was no drinking or drugs involved, only the young man's failure to wear a seat belt. I wonder how much emphasis was placed on the importance of always wearing a seat belt in his driver's ed classes. We must all work together to make getting a driver's license harder. That is one certain way to eliminate these needless teen deaths.
