When ever a Navy plane is lost, the Navy assembles a group of the best experts to find out what caused the loss. Their purpose is to try to make sure, as far as possible, that the same mistakes don't happen again. This recent tragedy of the death of New England Patriot player Marquise Hill, in the prime of his life, presents an opportunity for everyone to think about being more careful. A life jacket would probably have saved Marquise's life. The same way seat belts, air bags, and motorcycle helmets save lives. To those who argue the government should stay out of their lives and they should be free to do whatever they want, ask the grieving parents, spouses and children if they agree with that argument. The bottom line is that many, many injuries and deaths can be avoided if only folks took the most basic precautions.
